Lab Hardware Spec Snapshot

Minimum Baseline
CPU: Any Intel / AMD CPU
GPU: Nvidia GTX / RTX GPU
RAM: 8 GB
Recommended 60+ FPS
CPU: Modern Multi-Core CPU
GPU: Nvidia RTX 40/50 Series
RAM: 16 GB+

Why In-Place Driver Updates Cause Stutter

Using GeForce Experience "Express Install" leaves behind stale registry keys, old PhysX binaries, and corrupted shader caches from previous versions. Over time, this leads to random driver timeouts (TDR) and frame drops.

The 5-Step Safe Mode DDU Protocol

  1. Download the latest official Game Ready Driver 565.xx from Nvidia and save to your desktop.
  2. Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
  3. Reboot Windows 11 into Safe Mode (Hold Shift while clicking Restart).
  4. Open DDU, select Device type GPU > NVIDIA, and click Clean and restart.
  5. Once back in normal Windows, run the driver installer and select NVIDIA Graphics Driver only (Custom Install).
